Mill Levy Program
Denver County Mill Levy Contract Stipulations
The Colorado General Assembly and Colorado Department of Human Services deliver funds from county-based mill levy property taxes to a Community Center Board (CCB) to provide services and supports for persons with developmental disabilities.1 Rocky Mountain Human Services (RMHS) is the CCB for Denver County and works in contract with the Denver Department of Human Services (DDHS) to purchase services and supports for RMHS’s CCB clients and families.
Development of a Formalized Program for Mill Levy Funds
RMHS enlists the assistance of community members with expertise in developmental disability services to advise the organization in its use of mill levy dollars from the City and County of Denver. These funds are used to serve children and adults with developmental delays and disabilities who live in the City & County of Denver. Please visit the Community Advisory Council page for more information about the council and upcoming meetings.
Requests for Mill Levy Funds
Mill Levy-funded projects are intended to create opportunities for external community partners to address unmet needs of children and people with I/DD in Denver County.
In an effort to best support partners toward awarded project proposals, the updated application includes the Funding Opportunity Announcement, Request for Proposal (RFP = Funding Application), and the RFP Scoring Rubric in one document. The Updated Request for Mill Levy Funds* is intended to inform and guide project funding proposals from ideation to implementation. It is our goal to support strong, successful applications.
