RMHS Welcomes New Member to Board of Directors

Mara Kailin Is the Newest Member of the RMHS Board of Directors

Rocky Mountain Human Services (RMHS) is excited to welcome Mara Kailin to its Board of Directors. Mara is a licensed bilingual clinical psychologist with extensive experience in behavioral health treatment.

She has worked in the mental health industry for over 20 years and was inspired to join the field out of the desire to support underserved populations and make an impact. She has volunteered both in the United States and Latin America, directly supporting those in need. Mara earned her bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan and her doctoral degree in psychology from Rutgers University. She moved to Colorado 16 years ago with her husband to finish her residency for her doctorate.

Mara currently serves as the chief clinical officer at Aurora Mental Health Center with oversight of approximately 700 staff in nearly 50 different programs in dozens of clinics in the community. She is excited about the board because funding for services for I/DD individuals is difficult to access. RMHS ensures those with I/DD get the holistic care they need, she said. Mara believes RMHS is on the cutting edge and thinking proactively about where the field is going.

“I think RMHS is such a key part of being that connector between all of the services,” Mara said. “I really wanted to do what I can to support the great work RMHS is doing.”
