Inclusive Housing Denver is working on a much-anticipated and timely initiative to increase neuro-inclusive housing right here in Denver. To appropriately plan for the housing and support service needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Inclusive Housing Denver is working to understand the various types of housing innovation taking place around the country, sharing this data with key stakeholders in Denver, and collecting feedback from people in the I/DD community on what they’d like their future housing options to look like in the Denver-metro area.

Through a community partnership, Inclusive Housing Denver is offering virtual learning sessions designed to inform stakeholders of these innovations and provide an in-depth overview of how residential options for people with I/DD have evolved into innovative, person-centric solutions.

The presentation will include videos and pictures of inclusive living examples from around the country, and include topics like:

  • Neuro-inclusive design

  • Service delivery models

  • Enabling technology

  • And supportive amenities

At the end of the presentation, participants will be surveyed to help capture what they would like to see in their future residential options. It is critical for those responding to the surveys to first engage the learning sessions offered. These learning sessions will provide information that will be useful as you complete the needs assessment, as it will establish shared understanding of terminology and housing models referenced.

There will be two live virtual learning sessions that offer an in-depth dive into inclusive housing opportunities: Wednesday, April 14, 2021 4:30 – 6:30 pm Register Here Thursday, May 6, 2021 4:30 – 6:30 pm Register Here
