Thank you for supporting RMHS during this unprecedented year

2020 has been filled with challenges and changes but also has revealed extraordinary generosity and support.

As 2020 comes to a close, it’s a moment for reflection. It has truly been a one-of-a-kind year, with a global pandemic and hardships for the people we support. We were thrilled to begin supporting people with long-term care needs, adding case management services for more than 11,500 people. The continuing public health emergency meant that we also had to rapidly adjust most of our services and supports to a telehealth model, while ensuring that our essential employees had the protocols and equipment needed to ensure safety as they conducted critical in-person work. Through the year, even as we saw more needs emerging, we found ourselves filled with gratitude for the amazing individuals and businesses who stepped forward to help us meet these needs.

We were honored to be the designated charity for Total Wine & More, which conducted its Points for a Purpose campaign. This incredible company made a generous donation to RMHS, which has helped us support individuals and families who were doing their best to navigate economic challenges and other difficulties posed by the pandemic.

We focused our Colorado Gives Day campaign on helping the people we support meet a very basic need -- having warm hats, gloves and socks to stay safe and healthy during the winter months. We received an incredible response and nearly doubled our donations this year! When all was said and done, we were able to send more 400 cold weather packages to the individuals and families that we support!

We are proud of what we have been able to do with our existing resources, but we know that it is not enough. As we approach the end of a tumultuous year, we know that many needs remain for the people we support.
