Shari Repinski shares her thoughts on the new year along with upcoming opportunities for you, our community, to share your voice and continue guiding our work.

Dear Denver Community,

Welcome to 2023! If you’re anything like me, you’ve already begun the exercise of deciding where to focus your intentions for the new year while reflecting on the year that has somehow already come and gone.

For some of us, the road we plan to pave into the new year is fully mapped out, and the destination is clear. For others, standing at the precipice of the new year is daunting, and the destination or route to your destination is still unclear. Wherever you may find yourself right now, I would like for you to take a moment to honor it, because nobody’s path is easy. And we’re all in this together.

For RMHS, we have entered the new year with a renewed sense of focus and optimism for what lies ahead. Does that mean we are prepared for things to be easy? No. Does that mean that we can foresee and plan for each challenge that will undoubtedly arise? Absolutely not. What it does mean is that we are prepared to work through all of it because we will continue to partner with you, our community, to help guide our work, our decisions, and our journey forward.

The sense and security of community has always kept our organizational compass steady. Each of you – our community partners, the individuals we serve, and the friends and families of the people and communities we support – shape who we are and drive the decisions that we make every day.

As we move forward into the new year, we are renewing our commitment to you and the partnership we are so proud to have built with this community. Your feedback, input, and voices will continue to be the most integral part of the decisions we make as an organization, and wherever the road takes us, we will stay on the right path because we have you to guide us.

Coming soon, you’ll see opportunities to learn more about what we have in store for the new year, and to share your voice, feedback, and vision for the future. We hope you’ll participate in one or several of these opportunities, which will take the form of community listening sessions, community forums, and online feedback forms.

We are excited to continue building and strengthening our relationship and partnership with each of you and look forward to connecting with you regularly throughout the coming year.

All the best, and Happy New Year,

Shari Repinski
