Family Support Council

About the RMHS Family Support Council

The Family Support Council is made up of past and present caregivers who provide guidance to RMHS on the overall implementation of the Family Support Services Program (FSSP). FSSP offers supports and services to families in Denver and Adams Counties caring for a child between the ages of 3-18 with an intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) or delay.

The Family Support Council advises on:

  • Guiding decisions on how funding is allocated to best support families in the program
  • Monitoring the services provided by FSSP
  • Recommending supports for families transitioning out of the program
  • Supporting the Family Survey for Quality Assurance, which guides FSSP’s direction in the next year
