Upcoming Classes for Babies and Toddlers

Below are free classes available to Denver families with young children age 5 and under. All offerings are for residents of the City and County of Denver and are hosted by qualified early intervention instructors.  

Note: All classes are designed for caregivers to learn strategies to support their toddlers and take place virtually.

Introduction to Signs in Daily Routines

Learn how to cue your child to use practical, everyday signs, understand the benefits of signing, and clear up common misconceptions about using signs with your child. 

Who: Denver families with children ages 5 and under. 

Where: Virtual. Link will be sent after registration via email just before the class. 

When: Offered every other month. 

Duration: 60 minutes

Is Picky Eating Normal?
9 Reassuring Lessons for Parents of Toddlers

Picky Eaters

Learn the difference between typical picky eating and more complex feeding challenges. You will also learn what is developmentally expected and walk away with strategies to support your child. 

Who: Denver families with children under the age of 5 (not intended for medically fragile children) 

Where: Virtual. Link will be sent after registration via email just before the class. 

When: Offered every month. 

Duration: 60 minutes

Starting Solids

Learn how to recognize signs your baby is ready for solid foods and how to introduce them safely and confidently. This class covers feeding safety, allergen introduction, and practical strategies to help the transition to solids go smoothly. Whether your baby has yet to start eating solids or is having difficulty transitioning to solids, learn more about feeding your baby by attending this class.

Who: Denver families with children under the age of 1 (though caregivers of older children are welcome to attend as well)

Where: Virtual. Link will be sent after registration via email just before the class.

When: Offered monthly.

Duration: 60 minutes

Language Development Strategies for Young Children

Explore ways to support early language development, build engagement, and encourage communication in infants and toddlers. 

Who: Denver families with children ages 5 and under who are waiting for speech therapy or not currently receiving it. 

Where: Virtual. Link will be sent after registration via email just before the class. 

When: Offered every other month. 

Duration: 75 minutes

Get a Free Developmental Screening 

RMHS also partners with local businesses to offer free developmental screenings for Denver families with children ages 5 and under who are not currently enrolled in an RMHS program. 

These developmental screenings shed light into a child’s development and can identify possible delays. Upcoming events are listed below. We’d love to meet you and answer any questions you might have about your child’s development. 

Who: Denver families with children under the age of 5 who are not enrolled in an RMHS Program
