Meet Conor

Conor is a young adult with Down syndrome. An important part of his life is travel and his association with The Wayfaring Band, a nonprofit organization providing travel, fellowship and leadership opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Being a part of this organization has changed Conor’s life and has provided him with a broad array of life experiences, increasing his independence and confidence tackling new challenges.

In fact, The Wayfaring Band, which receives Denver County Mill Levy funding, led him down a path to a job he holds with confidence at a local business. Conor says his travels “Changed my life. I am my own person. I have many abilities.”
