Meet Libby

Libby recently celebrated her 59th birthday – although, she treats every day as a celebration! She requires assistance with eating and moving around the house. She lives in the home where she grew up with her mother who has recently developed Alzheimer’s. Libby’s team, and the agency providing in-home services for her, realized that Libby’s love for music and dance had a therapeutic effect, enhancing her eye contact, vocalization, and fine and gross motor movement.

Her team was able to use Mill Levy funds to augment Libby’s services to include regular music therapy, saying, “We can’t wait to see how much more of Libby comes back to us over the next months!”
